The PHEII operates by using a double action piston pump that simultaneously draws new flush water as it discharges wastewater. The pump has a unique, easily replaceable seal cartridge. A special air vent reduces back pressure. The PHEII operates by just a push of a button, but if there is power failure, the PHEII comes with a lever for the purpose of temporary manual operation.
